Announcing the launch of Western Sydney Women’s Research Project
In 2016 we captured the voices of thousands of women in the first and largest research project for women from Western Sydney. This research was fundamental in creating a direction and strategy for our advocacy in the media and to the government.
A lot has changed since that time yet the need to continue to advocate for the women of Western Sydney is as strong as ever. This has led us to launch our research project for 2022. Our goal is to capture the priorities and concerns of all women from the Inner West, Greater West, North West and South West of Sydney.
We want to give women a voice to speak out about what impacts them in this current economic and political environment. Our research addresses key concerns including career opportunities and barriers, the impact of the rising cost of living and whether women feel like they are being properly represented and heard by government.
Western Sydney Women are a grassroots organisation, run entirely by women, and we advocate and represent women across Western Sydney in the media and events. This research will help us continue our advocacy work as well as communicate with the government to influence future policy.
In order to hear from as many voices as possible, we encourage all women from Western Sydney to let us know what’s important to them.
