Careers Connect Jobs of the Future program provides you with the essential skills, knowledge and connections to maximise your chances of success.

The Western Sydney Women Careers Connect Jobs of the Future program seeks to help women in Western Sydney who are returning to the workforce after an extended period of time or looking to change their career, including migrant women wanting to start a career in Australia.

The program includes the following components:

• Job Readiness Training Sessions: Attend one of two half-day sessions to build your job seeker toolkits and develop the confidence to step out and pursue new employment in sought-after industries. Develop specialised CVs, participate in mock interviews, create a LinkedIn profile and access career mentors for guidance.

• Jobs Information Sessions: Attend up to three Employer-led Job Information sessions on Renewable Energy, Sustainable Construction and Circular Economy. Employers will describe the jobs in the sector both now and into the future with open discussion, Q&A and opportunities to network.

• Career Path Development: Following these sessions, a detailed and robust EOI process will enable the selection of 20 high-potential candidates to undertake Career Path Development, a one-on-one intervention activity that develops an individualised 12-month career plan working in partnership with a chosen employer. Each mentee will be allocated a mentor to identify skills, training and entry-level roles required to achieve an agreed career goal.
