Exploring aerospace and drones
Congratulations to our graduates of The Future is Bright in Aviation Program!
To celebrate the completion of the program we held an experience day and graduation for students and mentees of The Future is Bright in Aviation Program at Powerhouse Museum.
It was a privilege to have Madeline Wu speak about her experience as an unmanned aerial vehicle chief pilot. It was particularly special to have Maddi, along with Olivia Widjaja join us on the day as they are both former mentees in our Western Sydney Women in Aviation program which ran in 2020.
The students had opportunities to see drones in action, ask questions and explore the Aviation and Aerospace Exhibit, which included an up-close look at the historic Catalina aircraft.
We would like to thank our program partners SFC Australia and Powerhouse for their support, along with our program mentors.
The Future is Bright in Aviation is funded thanks to the Women in the Aviation Industry Initiative by The Australian Government Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications.
