Girls in Trades – The Future is Bright Experience Day

In partnership with Endeavour Energy, high school girls from The Future is Bright Trades Program as well as girls from our local community enjoyed a hands on experience day learning about working in trades at Endeavour Energy’s Technical Training Centre.

The girls geared up in PPE, tried out tools, explored an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Vehicle and learnt about being an electrician in practice.

An inspiring panel of women in trades shared about their experiences as Electricians at Endeavour Energy and as women working in trades. The panel was facilitated by Gudrun Elms and the panelists were Tash Stanic, Jess Black, Karyn Downs and Renae Blair.

Thank you to the team from Endeavour Energy for hosting us and for partnering with us to help high school girls in Western Sydney to consider and pursue careers in trades!

The Girls in Trades Program is supported by Women NSW Investing in Women initiative.
