Opening doors to success

Our program, Job Ready & Money Smart, was featured in the Hawkesbury Gazette on Wednesday 22/06/22.

"Higher female participation in the labour force is good for women, good for families and for the economy. We want to connect these vulnerable women to give them the right kind of support and get them well on their way to achieving the job of their dreams."
– Amanda Rose

WHEN it comes to helping vulnerable women become more confident and work savvy, advocacy group, Western Sydney Women, means business.

Funded by the NSW Government's Investing In Women Program and led by founding director Amanda Rose, Western Sydney Women is targeting long term unemployed women with its Job Ready and Money Smart program.

Launched in mid May, the program aims to provide women with valuable skills and more diverse employment opportunities.

It is broken up into six different online modules cover- ing topics such as personal branding, interview skills, CV and cover letter writing, and financial skills, to help women grow their futures.

Ms Rose said the program was vital to securing financial security for western Sydney women.

"By upskilling and actively pursuing career pathways, they are actively taking control of their futures," she said.

"It's immensely rewarding to be a part of the process and witness the transformation in these women."

Participants who register online will also be able to access the recorded sessions at their leisure after they sign up to the program's private Facebook page - Western Sydney Career Women.

"Higher female participation in the labour force is good for women, good for

families and for the economy," Ms Rose said. "We want to connect these vulnerable women to give them the right kind of support and get them well on their way to achieving the job of their dreams."
