Women in trades – Build Your New Career program launch

For our cohort of women in our Build Your New Career program, the next couple of weeks will reveal the endless opportunities that are available in the construction and trades industries.

Marking the commencement of our program, we held a launch event at Penrith Paceway with industry leaders and local businesses.

Our panel of industry leaders and local businesses included representatives from Eather Group, Hix Group, Lendlease and Roberts Co, who generously shared their experiences, revealing the diverse opportunities that are available.

Following this inspirational panel discussion and a networking morning tea, our women met our training team including Tiz Porreca from Amongst Marketing and the team at TME The Management Edge RTO #3927. Our women also engaged in a comprehensive training session led by Michelle Katz from Katz Recruitment. This training encompassed essential aspects of job searching, interview techniques, and resume optimisation, emphasising the development of a resilient mindset and unwavering confidence.

This program is funded by the NSW Government and supported by Trade Pathways Programs - Training Services NSW.

Throughout the program, our women will expand on their professional development, completing five units of competency, including their White Card and First Aid certificate, setting them on a transformative path toward their future careers.
