Introducing the next generation of women to STEM and Trades

In July we held the second Future is Bright STEM and Trades Bootcamp for 2024, partnering with Endeavour Energy (NSW) to empower high school girls to expand their career options.

Students in years 9 - 12 from high schools throughout Western Sydney explored roles in STEM and Trades through hands-on activities including virtual reality and drones.

Students also participated in the following activities:

  • Pole Climb Activity – students learnt about overhead electrical work and donned Personal Protective Equipment to climb onto a pole platform while harnessed (1m high)

  • Sustainability and Drones – students learnt about sustainability and innovative engineering projects plus had the opportunity to fly a drone

  • Virtual Reality – students learnt about how training is implemented using VR and will have the opportunity to experience VR

Thank you to the team at Endeavour Energy for hosting another incredible bootcamp! Interested in finding out more for your school or children? Learn more here.
